Rec Room Fireplace Theater

Phase two (click HERE to see phase one) of our recent project completion in Bayview was completed this week once the client’s remodeling contractor had completed their basement remodeling project.  All low voltage cabling for this project was completed several weeks back when we completed the client’s great room Sonos home theater.

BC Neville Tech’s experienced systems design staff worked directly with the client’s builder to complete this wiring ahead of drywall, while the project was in rough or stud phase which resulted in a substantial cabling cost savings and a more flexible design.

The basement Rec Room Home Theater consists of a 65” LG G3 OLED SMART TV, with a Sanus In wall Articulating Smart Mount, Binary High Speed Optical HDMI. The clients speaker package consists of (7) Bose Virtual Invisible 791, premium in-ceiling virtually invisible loudspeakers, and a Klipsch KC62 Subwoofer to complete this home theaters speaker array, which resulted in an exceptional visual and audio experience.

In the adjoining Bar we mounting a 43” Samsung QN90D corner mounted using a Peerless extra long articulating arm mount. Additionally, we installed a pair of Bose Virtually Invisible 791 in-ceiling loudspeakers for music. Finally, behind the scenes doing the heavy lifting in today’s smart home, is the final component to this system; a complete Luxul home network upgrade, with wired access point coverage and processing power enough for all of todays and tomorrows smart home products.

The Luxul home network consisted of two primary components, wired and wireless. The wireless component consists of (2) Luxul hardwired Long Range Access Points XAP-310 / LXXAP-1610 which extend and boost the high speed signal delivering strong coverage through the clients entire home and outdoor living spaces.

Which brings us to the second component of the network upgrade, the wired side. The wired side is designed to have all electronics which can be hardwired, resulting a a dual benefit to the client. First being a strong and consistent signal speed will be sent to those wired devices, eliminating buffering or lags.

The second benefit to hardwiring all electronics is the clients WiFi bandwidth remains available in full; resulting in better speeds on your phones and tablets. The wired component is achieved with a combination of a  Luxul XWR-3150 Epic 3 High Speed Router, and XGS-1008 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch.

All in wall CAT6 Network cabling required was completed by BC Neville Tech. This client was very happy that we were able to deliver this completed project just in time to enjoy with their family during the holidays.

Happy Holidays!

Installation staff completed all required in-wall cabling required to accommodate this clients new Home Theater including: Cat6 Network Cabling to the TV, Soundbar, and Subwoofer, High Speed Optical HDMI cabling, and HD Antenna Cabling.

All client’s head end equipment is neatly hidden remotely in the basement mechanical shelving.

When designing the perfect home theater, aesthetics and functionality are paramount. One innovative way to enhance both is by relocating the head end equipment—such as amplifiers, receivers, and streaming devices—to a remote location, like the basement mechanical shelving. This approach offers several compelling advantages that can significantly elevate your home entertainment experience.

Firstly, hiding the head end equipment remotely streamlines the design of your home theater. Without the clutter of technical hardware, the space remains sleek and focused on comfort and style. This setup allows for a cleaner aesthetic that emphasizes the screen and speakers, rather than the supporting technology. Homeowners can indulge in a cinematic environment that mirrors professional theaters, where all technical elements are out of sight, allowing the film or show to capture full attention.

Placing equipment in the basement can lead to improved performance and longevity of your devices. Basements often provide a cooler environment, which is ideal for electronic components that generate heat during operation. This can potentially extend the lifespan of your equipment by keeping it at optimal operating temperatures, reducing the risk of overheating and subsequent damage or failure.

Lastly, remote location of the head end equipment enhances the overall user experience by centralizing control. Modern technology allows for seamless integration and operation from a distance—whether through universal remotes or smart home systems. This means you can control all aspects of your home theater setup without ever needing to leave your seat, adding an extra layer of convenience and luxury to your viewing experience.

BC Neville Tech specializes in customizing home theater installations to fit the unique needs and preferences of each homeowner. By considering the placement of head end equipment in less obtrusive areas, we ensure that your home theater not only meets the highest standards of functionality and aesthetics but also enhances your enjoyment and use of the space.

Showcasing Seamless Elegance: The 55” Samsung “The Frame” Installation by BC Neville Tech

At BC Neville Tech, we take pride in delivering projects that seamlessly blend cutting-edge technology with the aesthetic vision of our clients. One of our most recent projects involved the installation of a stunning 55” Samsung “The Frame,” a smart TV that doubles as a piece of art, transforming living spaces with its sleek, modern design.

A Collaborative Approach to Perfection

This project exemplifies our commitment to working closely with homeowners and interior designers to achieve a flawless installation. From start to finish, we collaborated with our client and their design team, ensuring every detail aligned with their expectations for functionality and aesthetics.

Aesthetic Excellence with Hidden Functionality

Existing Residential System Update and Exterior Home Theater

We had the pleasure of updating another new client’s existing Great Room Home Theater as well as completing concrete coring and conduit installation to accommodate an outdoor home theater in the clients pool and outdoor living Space.

Since we were already updating the clients Great Room Home Theater, we added a conduit and professionally bored a concrete hole, which terminated to an exterior rated box. This conduit and exterior box will allow us access next spring to pull all the required cabling to the new outdoor a/v system.

Back to the Great Room Update: the client had an older (about 15 years) Yamaha receiver with no Smart Control, and several other features were not working. In this case the client updated his older Yamaha with a new RX-A2A smart receiver with app control.

Very easily upgrading his old system to a current smart system with smart phone control. The client could not be happier with the updates we made and is looking forward to next spring when we design and install the families nes outdoor entertainment space!

Please take a look at the project photos for another great installation in the books. Make sure you read the clients testimonial!

Outdoor audio-visual systems have a unique charm that can transform any outdoor space into an entertainment haven, blending the joy of being outside with the pleasures of high-quality entertainment. Here’s why they’re so much fun:

Natural Ambiance: There’s something inherently relaxing and enjoyable about being outdoors, whether it’s the warmth of the sun, the cool evening breeze, or the starlit sky. Pairing this natural ambiance with your favorite tunes or movies amplifies the enjoyment, creating a perfect backdrop for relaxation and entertainment.

Social Gatherings: Outdoor AV systems are fantastic for hosting events, be it a backyard movie night, a pool party with music, or watching a big game under the stars with friends and family. They create a focal point for gatherings, encouraging social interaction and shared experiences in a way that indoor systems might not.

Expansive Sound and Visual Experience: Without the confines of walls, sound can fill your outdoor space more freely, creating an immersive listening experience. Similarly, watching a movie on a large outdoor screen under the stars can be a magical experience that feels grander and more special than watching the same movie indoors.

Versatility and Creativity: Outdoor systems allow for a lot of creativity in how and where they’re set up. From hidden rock speakers that blend into your garden to inflatable movie screens that can be set up and taken down easily, the possibilities for customizing your outdoor entertainment space are endless.

Enhances Outdoor Living: Investing in an outdoor AV system encourages more outdoor time, effectively extending your living space. It can make outdoor dining, lounging, or even a nightcap more enjoyable, encouraging you and your family to spend more time in the fresh air.

Fitness and Wellness: Outdoor AV systems can also be used for fitness and wellness activities, such as outdoor yoga sessions with calming music or workout videos in the privacy of your backyard. The combination of being outdoors and engaging in physical activity can be incredibly beneficial for mental and physical health.

Adds Value to Your Home: Beyond the immediate fun and entertainment, having a well-designed outdoor AV system can add value to your home, making it more appealing to potential buyers who envision themselves enjoying the space just as much as you do.

Adaptability to Different Events: Whether it’s a chill-out music session, an intense action movie, or a live sports event, outdoor AV systems can be adapted to suit various types of entertainment, making them versatile additions to any home.

Outdoor audio-visual systems blend the best of both worlds—the pleasure of being outdoors with the entertainment we love. They provide a unique way to enjoy movies, music, sports, and video games, offering an unrivaled atmosphere that indoor environments simply can’t match. This combination of factors makes outdoor AV systems not just fun but an integral part of creating memorable experiences at home.
