Low Voltage Cable Panel Installation in Existing Mequon Home

BC Neville Tech was hired to clean up the low-voltage cabling, and install a cable panel, in this North Shore home in Metro Milwaukee. Please see the before and after pictures below. Not only did the new cabling improve functionality throughout the home, the wiring is cleaned up significantly making any future upgrades or service calls quicker and easier.

This client moved from Minnesota to Mequon, Wisconsin and plans on doing a major renovation to the basement, including a dedicated theater and recreation area. He wants to utilize all of his own existing equipment, and any speakers or equipment the previous owner left behind.
We were able to utilize all of his current equipment giving him a functioning system for the short term, with only having to replace a defective sub woofer, and add an HDMI cable to the television. The client was extremely happy that he didn’t have added expenses for new equipment that he didn’t need.
We connected the client’s existing Onkyo Theater Receiver and 65 inch Vizio Flatscreen, Sonos Connect, Apple TV, and numerous gaming systems in the lower level theater. We were able to utilize the clients existing Sonos Connect Amp in the upstairs great room to feed streaming and amplified power to all of the speakers on the first floor.
We hope to update you on this project in the very near future when the client moves forward with this basement remodel.

New Construction Audiovisual Installation: Whitefish Bay, WI

New Construction Home Pre-Wire Cable for Custom Home Entertainment System: Whitefish Bay, WI

We ran all low-voltage audio video and network cabling throughout this new construction Whitefish Bay home Southeast Wisconsin. All of the wiring meets in a central location in the basement hosting all of the home’s AV and network equipment.

We also ran conduit to each TV location, and each equipment location, future proofing the wires to those locations should fiber or a different type of wire become the standard. Carlon Flexible Conduit Tube was pulled to every television, Honeywell Genesis Cat6 and RG6 were used throughout the home.

Carstensen Builders and client were both very happy with the attention to detail and pride in the work that BC Neville Tech employees take while working on their projects.

A/V Installation: Delafield, WI Lake Home

Custom Audiovisual Installation in a Delafield Lake Home

We’re currently working on an A/V installation in a new construction Delafield, WI lake home. There are three phases to the installation process: prewire, trim, and finish. The photos below are showing the trim phase.

I begin by working with you to determine what type of equipment and set up is best for your needs. From there, I work in coordination with the builder and contractors to ensure we’re in sync throughout each installation phase.

The prewire work is done at the same time the electricians are wiring the home, we then install all the speakers and plates during the trim phase, and the equipment installation takes place during the final finish phase. I take care of everything for you from beginning to end—we even have the equipment on hand—so you don’t have to worry about anything.

This project includes 6.5″ Proficient Pivoting Speakers from their Protege Architectural line that will be controlled with the client’s iPhone or iPad via a multi-zone or multi-source audio system. The speakers are small but with their built-in tweeters and subwoofers—all adjustable via your iPhone—put out a crisp powerful sound.

You’ll notice the seamless look of the built-in speakers in the living room and kitchen, the Protege series has a thin bezel design—eliminating the wide plastic flange—allowing the speakers to blend high in with your ceilings or walls.

The speaker plates can be painted to color match your ceiling or walls so they’re barely noticeable, and the best part is that because they’re ceiling mounted they take up absolutely no floor space.

Should you ever move your furniture around, the pivoting speakers can be adjusted so that you experience the best sound no matter where you’re sitting in the room.
