Lake Home Theater Service Upgrade: Pewaukee, WI

Lake Home Theater Service Upgrade: Pewaukee, WI

BC Neville Tech was initially called into this lake home theater project to look at a nonfunctioning subwoofer. The system was outdated and did not feature a smart receiver. After consulting with the client, he decided it was time to bring the system up to current technology standards and decided on a Yamaha’s flagship receiver the RX-A3080. We also added surge protection for his entire theater with a Panamax MR4000.

The Major Benefits of Upgrading a Receiver:
  1. 9.2 Dolby Atmos surround configuration for a cinema-like experience.
  2. More amp power for increased volume and a larger dynamic range.
  3. App control of receiver and streaming services through the Yamaha MusicCast App.
  4. HDMI connectivity.

The client’s speaker cables and main equipment cabling were run exposed on the floor. The client did not like this, so all exposed speakers, subwoofer, and network cables were run in-wall concealed and terminated cleanly to wall plates. The client also asked that we take some time cleaning up the main equipment cabling, they were very satisfied with the improvement.

Finally, we added (2) Sunfire XTEQ10 Dual Subwoofers to the clients existing Polk 7 Channel Tower Speaker configuration. This system shook the house! It delivered the bass-heavy system the client was looking for. The whole family is looking forward to playing video games, streaming their favorite movies, and watching their favorite sports teams from the comfort of their home while feeling like they have a front-row seat.

Thanks, Mike!

Three Main Benefits of Professional Home Theaters Installations:
  1. Less work for you! If you were to install a home theater on your own you’d most likely spend hours researching the best equipment, what tools you’ll need, and how to install everything. A pro keeps up on the latest technology and equipment, knows what type of equipment is best for each scenario, and has all of the necessary tools.
  2. The job gets done no matter how tough. You may think you know how to do just about anything, but when you’re working on a home project, just about anything can happen. You never know what really goes into a project until you get started. A pro knows how to troubleshoot difficult situations.
  3. A professional installer most likely knows a lot more than you do. A pro will actually save you money in the long run because they have the knowledge to be more efficient and can provide options you not even be aware of.

Brookfield: Chiropractic Company – Integrated Audio System & Network

Brookfield, Wisconsin: Chiropractic Company – Integrated Audio System & Network

This latest commercial project, working with a local chiropractor to set up his new office space in designing an integrated audio system, while giving him local and smart phone control in each of his patient spaces; waiting room, exam rooms, and roller-table/massage rooms independently. Additionally, BC Neville Tech was tasked with implementing all of the networking in the new office.

We were happy to deliver a great solution for both the audio system, as well as the networking system. We implemented a built in speaker system in each of the patient spaces for a clean and uncluttered look, featuring 6-inch in-ceiling speakers from SpeakerCraft and local volume controls from Proficient. These easy to use switches give the Doctor and employees the ability to independently control each of the six specific patient spaces.

The Yamaha stereo receiver, powering the integrated speakers, features a “MusicCast” app giving the user “walk-around” control with the a smart phone or tablet”. Additionally, BC Neville Tech ran and terminated all of the offices CAT6 Network cabling for office equipment and x-ray machines. All of the audio system equipment, and networking patch panel equipment, is located in a Middle Atlantic Wall Mounted Audio/Visual/Network Rack.

Fun A/V Installation Project: Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin

Custom Audiovisual Installation Project: Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin

Well we have another fun installation project for you folks located in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin.

As you can see from the project photos below this was a tough installation. This home is an existing 1940s brick home that was recently renovated with over 1400 square feet added to it, resulting in three different attic spaces, making it next to impossible to maneuver around to add cabling. This just shows how committed BC Neville tech is to getting cabling where it is needed, and doing it the right way, without having exposed wires—no project is too challenging for us!

We implemented two home theaters, six additional zones of built-in ceiling speakers, and one pair outdoor rock speakers powered by Sonos streaming system. We also implemented a Hikvision six camera surveillance system, featuring an 8-channel two TB NVR, in this home. We installed cameras in several rooms throughout the home giving the client the ability to keep an eye on the nanny. The exterior cameras allow the client to view his entire front yard, including the front door and his backyard, with pan tilt and zoom capability.

Equipment used on this job: Hikvision Surveillance System, Sony TVs, Yamaha receivers, Sonos zone players, Proficient in-wall and in-ceiling theater speakers, Panamax surge protection, Luxul wireless equipment and network switches, URC’s universal remote control, Home Pro controller’s giving the owner the ability to walk freely throughout his home in control all of his entertainment systems, with either the universal system controller, or simply at the touch of his hands with his iPhone or tablet.

If you’re thinking about adding an audio visual system in your home, or just want to hide your existing cables and boxes, please contact me to set up a free consultation.
