New Construction Residential: Lower Level Media Room Featuring a Three Sony TV Array

Our latest project was an absolute blast—and the final result was even more exciting to deliver to the homeowner! The completed system design for this dedicated lower-level Media Room included a stunning three-TV array that brings cinematic experiences right into the comfort of home.

The Setup:

Two Sony XR-42A90K 4K OLED Smart TVs (43″)
Positioned on either side, these high-quality displays offer vibrant color, deep contrast, and smart integration for seamless viewing.

From Construction to Completion: Why Integration Matters

BC Neville Tech’s industry-leading Integration Specialists collaborated directly with the homeowner of this new construction property in Waukesha to bring their dream Media Room to life. During the early stages of the build, the client communicated their intentions for a fully wired, smart Media Room setup to their builder.

However, the builder—like many others—did not partner with a Smart Home Integrator, and instead relied on their electrician for all low-voltage wiring (audio/video, networking, surveillance, lighting control, etc.).

Fixing the Foundation

In this particular case, the electrician had installed obsolete cabling for each TV and the main control equipment—meaning it was incompatible with the client’s vision for their Media Room.

Thankfully, BC Neville Tech’s elite installation team, with over 65 years of combined experience, was able to step in and save the day. Our crew rerouted and installed all the required cabling, including:

Home Theater New Construction Custom Home: Hartford, WI

BC Neville Tech’s industry-leading staff have worked with this client and their builder/trades for over a year, from blueprint to final finish, to design and implement a Smart home system, both an exterior surveillance system and home theater system, that the client will utilize and enjoy for years to come.

We installed the Hikvision surveillance system featuring five exterior turret cameras, and one fully controllable PTZ Exterior Dome Camera to cover the perimeter of the home. The Hikvision cameras—Hikvision EKI-K82T46, ECI-T44F2, DS-2DE3304W-DE—are all connected with a CAT6 ethernet cable and originate from the wall-mounted A/V rack in the basement, and are connected to a rack-mounted Hikvision eight Channel NVR ERI-K108-P8.

Finally, each Smart TV has been wired directly with a CAT6 ethernet cable originating in our A/V rack in the basement and is connected to a Luxul 16-Port Ethernet Switch.

The main home theater with eight additional zones of audio, powered by a Yamaha RXA2 with Music Cast Smart control, is located in the gorgeous open concept timber-framed Great Room. As we do regularly, BC Neville’s team worked directly with both the homeowner and trades to ensure that the integration of electronics in the custom barn door inset, which houses the 65″ TCL QLED and Proficient, worked with the client.

Proficient LSB3 mounted directly to the tv using a Sanua SA405-B1-soundbar mounting bracket, and the subwoofer a Proficient FS8 Dual 8″ powered sub. Finally, the seven-inch rear dipole speakers are located at the rear of the seating area for optimal sound. The cabling for all of the electronics and speakers in the home theater originates in the basement A/V rack.

The great room home theater TV is mounted on a Peerless TVA775 articulating arm mount, allowing the client to pull the television out from the custom built-in and articulate the tv and soundbar together towards the kitchen or a preferred angle within the Great Room.

Additionally, this home has eight additional zones of stereo music comprised of a mixture of Proficient 6″ In-Ceiling speakers C641, C621, C695s, KEF 7″ In-Wall & In-Ceiling speakers Ci200RR-THX, Ci200Ql, Ci200RS-THX, And 6″ Proficient All-Weather Outdoor Speakers AW650.

All of the secondary audio zones are connected to a Yamaha Aventage RXA2 smart receiver. They can be controlled with the Yamaha MusiCast App throughout the home and patio to select music, listen to a game or radio, turn up or down the volume, or mute the system.

Great Room & Master Bedroom Home Theater System: Pewaukee, WI

We had fun installing surround sound in a great room and master bedroom, along with outdoor audio, for this Pewaukee home.

Our client had just purchased this home in the Deer Haven Subdivision in Pewaukee and wanted to complete the family’s home entertainment system before moving in. We see this often at BC Neville Tech. Clients are planning to include technology, security, and home theater systems into the build more and more often.

Our experienced sales/design staff had several phone conversations to identify the family’s primary needs for home entertainment and low voltage cabling. We also met on-site before closing the final design.

This client has a double fireplace with no existing cabling and wanted to have both sound and a television mounted above the fireplace on both sides.

In the Master Bedroom, we completed the necessary low voltage audio/visual cabling and added a 55″ LG Nano Cell HD TV on a Peerless articulating arm wall mount. Lastly, we mounted a KEF soundbar to deliver excellent space, filling music in their bedroom.

On the opposite side, in the Great Room, we completed cabling for a new 65″ LG NanoCell HD TV on an articulating Peerless wall mount. The family’s primary gathering spot; we wanted to accompany the new TV with a great-sounding surround sound system.

We certainly accomplished this with a JBL 5.1 surround array featuring a TV-mounted soundbar, floor-standing subwoofer, and wall-mounted left and right rear speakers, together delivering the ideal atmosphere to enjoy their entertainment as a family.

Finally, we installed one pair of 6.5″ Proficient Rock Speakers flanking the client’s patio. These all-weather speakers remain outside year-round and Sound great for music or listening to the game on your patio.

All of the entertainment equipment within the home is powered and controlled by a Yamaha RX-A2 : 2 Zone smart surround sound receiver located in the basement. The system can be entirely operated remotely with the client’s smartphone or tablet using the Yamaha MusicCast App or the supplied remote control.

The client was delighted with the finished system and looks forward to years of family entertainment.

It was a true honor for BC Neville Technologies to be selected by the owners of this beautiful new construction exposed timber home in Hartford, Wisconsin. At BC Neville Tech we specialize in custom-designed technology systems; each of which is a combination of our 25+ years of industry experience blended with each client’s unique needs for a low voltage technology system.

Our staff worked directly with the client, builder, and cabinet makers to design a system that met the client’s Audio/Visual, Network, and Surveillance needs for their new home. We enjoy working with clients at the new construction stage to set up network cabling and ensure their home is equipped with the proper infrastructure to utilize music and video streaming services, along with a wide range of smart home technologies, audio/visual systems available today and in the future.

The home consists of a Six Zone Audio System, with dedicated great room surround sound powered by Yamaha MusicCast Controller App, Jamo, and Proficient custom In-Wall and In-Ceiling speakers. New Construction Home Theater Prep and Cable Install: Hartford, WI

TV Installation Above Fireplace: Sussex

BC Neville Tech was selected for this above fireplace TV installation project due to our unique experience in integrating technology solutions in truly custom environments. The client wanted to mount a 75″ Samsung QLED above their gas fireplace with a cultured stone veneer.

Even though the stone veneer is manufactured using a strong adhesive and can hold quite a bit of weight, we had to be aware of, and take into consideration the integrity of the structure.

Ideally, both for the homeowner and BC Neville Tech the builder would have completed basic Power and Low Voltage cabling to accommodate a wall-mounted flat screen. Unfortunately, in this case, as in many, no wiring was done pre-construction.

Thankfully, BC Neville Tech is one of the only local technology and low voltage integrators with experience to remove stone and mason work to allow for the required cabling for the client’s new smart TV mounted on a Peerless articulating arm. The client also chose to go with a mounted soundbar.

Once the stone is removed and the cabling is run, the TV wall mount is attached to the wall. The TV is installed, plugged in, and we make sure all of the cords are out of sight. Zip ties are a handy tool to keep electrical or low voltage cables are organized and tucked into place behind the TV.

Finally, the client has a Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and Sony Blu-ray player which we ran a 30 ft Vanco HDMI cable and CAT6 network cable. The result, is a clean, very contemporary installation, as you can see from the project photos. We look forward to helping this client in the future with their new basement media room.
